PSALM ONE

Blessed is the man
who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the ungodly
or stands with sinners, or sits with those who scorn
but his delight is in the law of the Lord
and in his law he meditates day and night

He is like a tree planted by the waterside
who brings forth his fruit at the right time
his leaf will not wither, even in the wintertime
and God blesses all his ways

But the ungodly are not so
they’re like the chaff that the wind blows away
and only those who do what’s right
will stand on that day

Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk that way
so be like a tree planted by the waterside.
